How to start a daycare in Texas

  1. Get a location.
  2. Get approval from your city and pass inspections by city.
  3. Go to a licensing orientation meeting after you have a location. (6 hour free class)
  4. Get CPR/First Certified. Must be in person. (I do provide this)
  5. Get A Texas Director Certificate (I do provide this)
  6. Get 24 hours of pre-service training (I do provide this)
  7. Get TB tested at your doctor
  8. Get fast pass from state website for background check.
  9. Fill out plan of operation form 2498 (I can do this for you)
  10. Get pre-school curriculum ( I have this)
  11. Business plan only if required (I have this)
